Electronic Health Record Incentives

The Federal Government has recently allocated $19 billion in new incentives to support and assist physicians who want to adopt Health Information Technology (HIT). Funds become available for office-based physicians on January 1, 2011.

Federal Government incentives include:

  • Up to $44,000 per physician over a 5-year period under Medicare
  • Up to $63,750 per physician over a 6-year period under Medicaid
